SUCCESS! is measured by some as the acquisition of wealth or prominence in society. I define success as prospering in your performance or achievement, when undergoing different endeavors. I chose to write about success in my blog post because I believe that is the word that sums up the effect on our college careers as a result of skills we have learned in Enc1102. The purpose of our journey in this class was not simply to get a passing grade, but to sharpen and acquire knowledge that we will transfer with us through out the rest of our classes. Transfer of knowledge is a focal point of success in Enc1102, because everything that we do in this course depends upon our prior knowledge of skill sets we should have learned before coming into the class.
SUCCESS is something that every person on earth desires. Success is generally achieved by a person making a sequence of good decisions through out their life.Good decisions are processed by good thoughts, and good thoughts come from good ideas.Proper use Good ideas can guide one towards success, top-selling author Steven Johnson describes good ideas as coming from a hunch someone has that later on becomes connected with a similar idea of someone else. Good ideas can also be compared to theory of transfer knowledge. Steven Johnson say in his video that environments such; as coffee houses, and wine parlors etc. helped the evolution of the good idea because it established a space for ideas to be swapped, developed, and matured. This is very similar to the idea of knowledge being transfered from one person to the next to combine in our brains and enlighten us with growing competence. The connection of good ideas and transfer knowledge to success, provides evidence to the factors one must build upon in order to achieve SUCCESS!
Reflection! is another important aspect of success. It is vital to sometimes meditate upon actions, thoughts, or writings or words that may have been exchanged. it is important to carefully consider the things we do, this is directly connected with success, because if we carefully reflect and examine the mistakes one makes. it is easier to prevent ones self from letting those mistakes reoccur. Kathleen Yancey did a case study on reflection, coding students writing processes while writing a reflection. Yancey discovered that students with bad writing processes were consistent in their processes. Reflection is significant, because had those students reflected upon what they were writing in their reflections, they would have the potential to notice mistakes in their processes before submitting their reflections to Yancey.
Vision
Vision is important to success and everything we have learned thus far in Enc1102. Without vision we would lack the ability to comprise thoughts, build ideas, and use creativity to form sentences or words or entire essays. We use vision everyday in the world around us to perceive all objects of reality. Without a vision we would lack the creativity to manifest these blog posts Vision can sum up what we have learned and improved upon in Enc1102 because without vision we would not be able to compose any of our thoughts.
