Its T-shirt Time

With a fourth season in the making, no one thought that Jersey Shore would have so much success. These eight roommates started out as strangers but now call themselves a family. Nicole, Mike, Jennie, Ronnie, Pauly D, Sammi, Vinny and Deena have made names for themselves in more ways that one, with Nicole calling herself "Snooki", Mike calling himself "The Situation" and Jenni known as "JWOWW". The cast has put Italians back on the map.

In the first season we saw the budding love between Ronnie and Sammi, the loud Angelina cause problems then leaving the Shore, and “The Situation and Pauly D bring home girls every night. The second season in Miami couldn’t have been more opposite. Ronnie and Sammi fought constantly and Mike and Pauly D were no longer wing men to each other, the only thing that stayed the same was that Angelina came to Miami but again left after a huge fight. The third season has been dramatic to say the least, from Ronnie throwing Sammi’s stuff out of their room to Jenni’s ex-boyfriend Tom taking her valuables and leaving her dog to fend of themselves. With all the seasons we have seen the progression of the cast and we will be seeing more with the fourth season rumored to be shot in Italy. They will be going to see the country they live by.

Certain words cannot be said out loud without setting off a series of complicated psycho-cultural explosions: the N word among African-Americans, the F word among gays; the C word among Chinese-Americans. Italian-Americans have a similar relationship with a two-syllable word beginning with G that is actually a man's name. With every MTV show there is always controversy and Jersey Shore is no different. In the quote above, TIME has stated that the word Guido is seen as a derogatory word but MTV continues to throw it around in each episode. In the same article they said that the programming president of Dominos, Tony DiSanto, was offended by the use of the word and ultimately cut is support from the show. But MTV and the cast believe that the good out weighs the bad in this situation so they continue to run the show. There will always be people against it but there are more people that are fans of the show.

The Jersey Shore epidemic has spread from Nicki Minaj and Chelsea Handler down to the average home. They have truly become a sensation and they are using their fame to promote their newest projects. Pauly D started a line of clothing called Dirty Couture and JWOWW did also, hers is named Filthy Couture. Pauly D, Snooki, and Angelina, a cast member that left during the first season, have been all around the nation making appearances in clubs.

With all the interesting things that has happened so far in the three seasons, we can only imagine the situations they will get themselves into once the fourth season rolls around.
