Now creating a paper is just like giving birth to something, as Steven Johnson demonstrates good ideas take a LONG time to ferment before they are ready to be put onto paper. They have to brew in the metaphorical uterus that is your mind before they come into this world and create something beautiful. You see good writing all comes back to this word, it's how you create the piece that makes a piece so amazing or in some cases lackluster.
Even the rhetorical situation, which Lloyd Bitzer talks about, is related to the creation of a piece. Once you have first started the piece the rhetorical situation will arise naturally. This happens since every piece has a mind of it's own, and with this mind it will find it's niche. It's important to remember though, you created this piece so it will find the niche that you want.
Even when Yancey talks about reflection, and a growth of consciousness it all wouldn't be possible without first creating something. There would be no growth if the person never created, so in writing ultimately everything comes back to what you create, then you can take or leave from it what you want. It's evolution in the making people!

The dictionary defines creation as the act of bringing something into being, in the English classroom it may mean something a bit different. For the average English student it means to bring all your ideas, all your skill, and maybe even a little bit of your personal self and put it into a paper and make it yours. That is what create has meant to me since ENC 1102 started.
In the end you START and you FINISH a paper, you are the creator and I beseech of you, use your powers wisely.
