You are creating a digital post--this means you need to work with digital elements such as images, videos, hyperlinks, etc (similar but not the same as the embedded genre post). As you have done in the past you will be creating a new post for this post so you are NOT responding back to this post.
What you are doing---
In light of this being our last month of classes, and to show me what you have learned so far as part of this class, your task is to create a blog post using ONE word to describe what you have learned as part of this class. This word--which you choose and can be anything you want it to be--needs to represent your learning but also represent the class. What you need to do is pick a word then create your blog post in response to that word.
What to include:
1. your word; definition of you word; description of why you chose this word
2. at least two images and/or videos and/or hyperlinks
3. reference to at least three different pieces we have read (you CAN'T use Billy Collins or MLK because I want you working with theorists and not simply authors)
4. different fonts and different colors
5. an overarching metaphor that connects to your word and centers your post
This post serves as a reflection and an analysis so make sure it reads as such. The order you choose to create this post in is up to but it doesn't need to be "traditional" so you don't have to follow any specific order, and in fact, you should play around with the order of the post (i.e. don't simply do the following: word, image, define word, explain choice of word, image, relationship to class, video, etc). Think outside of the box here. Be creative. Use what you have learned.
This is due by Thursday, April 7, 2011 BY 6:00 pm otherwise you will be considered absent and your work late.
Have fun with the post and be creative!
